or from her mommy?

ish.
a little nudge here
a little push there
and the gloves are off! (kidding. no Alonzo children were harmed in the making of this photo)
So it begins… ;)
It had been a while and Dave had some ‘daddy do’ items on his list, so I took the girls down to my folks for an overnight. As usual, the girls had a great time tearing it up in the glow of Nana and Pepere’s adoration.
Here’s a ton of shots from a few bits of the fun:
working on the steps
post-bath tumbles
Zoe squeezing out as many stories as possible :)
And a romp around the park:
Thanks again to Nana and Pepere for having us down. The girls were wiped out in the best way possible!
It was time. Since Maggie never lost all her baby hair (like poor cue-ball baby Zoe did), it had surely grown long and it was time. Despite how I loved how wild it could get – comb-over look and all! – and oh those wispy little bangs! But alas, it was time.
So, while Dave split about a cord and a half of logs from our felled trees, the girls and I ventured to a salon (meeting Nana there – I needed more laps and hands than I have!) to get them some new dos.
Some of the highlights (pardon the pun):
Bye bye cute bangs! (you try getting all stylish with scissors on a fidgety 14 month old!)
a bit of attitude… of course ;)

A big thanks to Nana for finding the spot and putting all hands on deck (how else was I to get these pix!) and for the subsequent spoiling at your house!
Bath time has renewed joy in our house now that Maggie can hold her own in the tub (more or less) alongside her big sis.
