Two beauties (March 2013)

Maddie was a favored distraction this last spring. And man, it’s good we got to see her when she was tiny - she grew like a weed!

To market, to market–April 2013

I decided that as long as I have the vacation hours (and we are short on vacation funding), the girls’ various days off from school should in fact be days off from school. It was a great chance to venture in a few new (to them) directions to explore our awesome area. Besides, if we’re going to live near the city to be near the city, we should make good of being near the city, no?


And a quick stop to see the Fremont bridge troll before meeting daddy at the dentist!

They were intended for Zoe, but they fit Maggie for only a moment. Time and an over-cluttered garage: 1, Mom: 0.

And finally, the birdies found Grandpa Derrel’s lovely birdhouse outside mom’s kitchen sink window. Too bad they didn’t stay (this time~)

Maggie’s day out (March 2013)

Maggie’s class in room 5 took a field trip to the Everett Children’s Museum and I cashed in some hours to go with them.
It was great to see Maggie in the mix – in all honesty, without her big sis. We so rarely get to see her on her own, and it was a great time to see her in her own element. She had a great time and I was so happy I got to be part of her day.
