Poor Maggie’s milestones have been mostly overlooked by this here “mommy blog”, but every once in a while, I think to grab the camera and document some to share.
Dave’s been working on getting her to drink – and drink well – from a big girl glass. We find lots of milk in the bib pocket now and again, but overall she’s an ace, having yet to spill one glass!

It was that time of year again – third Sunday in July – so us St. Alonzos made the trek down to Vancouver, WA to connect with Dave’s mom, Lani, the grandparents and all of the extended family. The trip down took us only four hours + (well yeah! I said we brought the girls! 
) and the stay was only a couple of days, but the time was grand.

It’s always great to connect with the family and to show the girls where Daddy spent many of his formative summers. I’m so glad they are old enough to start collecting their own memories.

It’s been declared a new tradition: camping on the 4th with the Winslow’s! (They didn’t get a mention, but were part of our 2010 4th.) But I think really it means camping down at the family property on Long Beach. Either way, it was a great long weekend out of town where we got to kick up our heels (and some sand) in the company of great family and lovely friends.
