Victoria, B.C. 2012–part 2

Butchart Gardens
IMG_9481
It was Easter weekend and spring was in the air. They said it was early for the prime season, but Butchart Gardens were stunning.

They just make it so hard to take a bad picture!

Victoria, B.C. 2012–part 1

Sites in the city.
Back in April, we jumped aboard with the idea to head up to B.C. with much of Dave’s side of the family and make use of his mom’s timeshare. It was a *great* trip.
We were first to arrive in the city, with hours to kill before check-in. So we managed to get in a bit of site-seeing (and Maggie managed to get herself a new pair of goose-poop-free-pants…) before connecting with the rest of the crew.

Pagliacci’s (B.C.-style) – our tables were separate, but at least we were at the same restaurant!

After a bit of a struggle, zonked. (M can never settle in a new place, esp. when sharing a room – let alone bed! – with her sis; Z just wants to crash and usually loses her marbles dealing with Magzilla. FUN.)

Another early start!

My girl, she knows me so well

This is one of two beautiful picture collages Zoe presented me with for Mother’s Day.
Priceless:

Me, after 3+ years of an average of 5 hours of sleep every night. Very accurate.

This part is particularly poignant:
  1. My favorite colors are green and blue.
  2. Leftovers do, actually, come a close second to pizza, but I’ll give her the point here because I have been known to say, many a Friday night “I LOVE leftover night!” (quick and easy, fewer dishes, no thinking involved).
  3. “take a walk” just evokes the pejorative “take a hike” for me. Love that.
  4. I would say that I would have guessed this one to be true Smile
  5. Indeed.
